Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog, Reinvented You.  Let me give you a little background on me and what you can expect from this Blog.

I'm Laura Garcia Kakar, born and raised in San Antonio Texas.  Growing up, I quickly learned I had to work really hard to get out of poverty and make something of myself.  Thank God, I have one Sister, Cynthia, and she is truly amazing and a role model for me.  Cynthia and I were the first ones in our family to go to and graduate from college.  My parents, Joe & Oralia, are survivors and I learned a lot from them over the years, too. Eventually I went on to become a Physician Assistant and now co-own a Sleep Medicine Clinic in  Plano, TX, called the Dallas Center for Sleep Disorders (www.dallas-sleep.com).  It has been a dream of mine to be able to help others like so many have done for me along my journey.  Paying it forward is important to me.  So this is what I intend to do with this blog.  To share knowledge, inspire, motivate and ultimately to enrich lives.  I look forward to engaging with you, my Reader.  I encourage feedback, comments.  Thanks!

"With God, all things are possible." - Matthew, 19:26.

  2. I can relate, I was born and raised in FortWorth, Texas,my whole life. Had no one to tell me or show me, about life and the good and bads of life and the drugs and the bad people. I grew up in a bad home and area where there was abuse and every day I would tell my self, when I get away from here and one day have my own family. That I will protect my children and never let them. Go through what I went through, that I would always be there for the ,and not let them go through what I have been through. So I moved to aubrey,tx to give my children a chance for a better life. That's what I did I got my kids and me out of fortworth and 10 and 1/2 years later my oldest daughter graduated and is in her 3rd year in college and working for a Vet now for 6 years, so I made a difference for my children and my son graduated last year, and now 1yr. In college and my youngest she is going to Oth grade. I thank god everyday, cause with out him in my life I would have never made. And now I have went back to school,my self and I thank you lord...
